10-Week Mentorship Intensive

Values guide your movements.

accountability keeps them on track.

Your heart might be in the right place, but your body is stuck in overwhelm: what should I be reading? whose voices should I listen to? what am I even supposed to do that can make meaningful change in this moment?

You don’t have to answer those questions alone.

This 10-week intensive provides the peer mentorship and guided self-inquiry that will help you set the wheels in motion to really practice the values you hold dear — whether you're wanting to learn more about how you can support racial justice in your community, how to mobilize around climate change, or how to hold space for the people in your life carrying heavy political and social burdens.

What is it?

A 10-week intensive mentorship program for movers and movement guides seeking to grow their personal political knowledge, engagement, and action.

How Does It Work?

Over a 10-week period from September to November 2025, we will meet for 8 sessions over Zoom. Your first and last sessions will be 90 minutes, with 60-minute sessions in between. You will be able to flexibly schedule these meetings to accommodate your schedule, and the 10-week period allows you to have space to integrate your learnings between sessions.

In your first session, we'll map the course of our time together, starting with an analysis of your starting place in political engagement and accountability and setting concrete goals tailored to your life and needs. Our 60-minute sessions will be dedicated to discussion of a single topic or range of topics that you select based on your experience and goals, with readings and resources that I curate for your unique interests and capacity. The final session will allow you the space to synthesize your learning, establish new actionable goals beyond our time together, and plan for how to take action. You will also have the option of extending our mentorship relationship for additional sessions if that serves you.

Some topics we could cover include:

  • How to promote racial justice in community spaces

  • How to support trans and gender-expansive clients and community members in your practice

  • How to find an organizing "home" or community to begin political engagement and advocacy work

  • How to show up with integrity to social causes and promote justice while still working your 9-5

  • How to turn your climate anxiety into concrete action for environmental justice

WHY ARE YOU OFFERING THIS?

In times of political shifts or crisis, some people spring into action, while others freeze, unsure of how to move forward. Change can only happen when we're able to work together toward our visions for a better world, but the most urgent political moments are also ones where many capable and compassionate people get left behind.

I know that people who show up for themselves on a regular basis in training — whether they're working toward their first marathon, putting up a bigger number on their bench press, or counting every second in their one-arm handstand — have the skills to practice making goals a reality. My aim is to resource those who are movers and movement guides to bring that same discipline and clarity to purposeful actions grounded in their social and political values — so they can show up with intention when it matters most.

Who is This Offering for?

This intensive is ideal for movers and movement guides who have a deep, immediate desire to kickstart their political engagement, but who might not know where to start. You might be someone who is...

  • a personal trainer seeking to hold space for clients' political anxieties and social identities alongside their physical training;

  • a gym owner building a business in a multi-racial neighborhood who needs support navigating building community while contending with gentrification;

  • a medical or healthcare professional with extensive formal training in scientific fields but limited education in politics or social issues;

  • a performer or athlete with deep dedication to physical excellence or artistic expression, but limited time for or training in political dynamics or social justice;

  • a yoga teacher feeling the weight of our current political moment but unsure of how to integrate grief, fear, and rage into physical practice and teaching.

Who is this not for?

This intensive mentorship is not intended as a substitute for, nor is it, individual psychotherapy. We'll certainly touch on your physical and emotional experience of the political forces shaping our world, but if you're primarily looking for deeper work on psychosocial dynamics and emotional pathways, this offering is not going to satisfy your needs.

This mentorship is also not for those who already have extensive experience in social or political justice; rather, it is intended for those needing start-up support as they begin to find their feet in advocacy spaces and language. However, if you are someone with extensive experience in only one area of social change work (e.g., environmental advocacy), you might benefit from this intensive as a way to connect that prior experience with other areas in which you may have less familiarity, like anti-racism/decolonization or disability justice.

What is the Cost?

The full cost of this offering is $3500 for the 10-week session, which can be paid all at once or in installments with no interest. Because this is an intensive offering where we meet 1:1, I will have limited capacity in order to ensure that you get the dedication you need.

I value economic access and community support to create it. If 8 individuals enroll at the program's full rate, I will be able to provide 3 additional spots at $2500 (70%) and 1 additional spot at $1750 (50%). These reduced-rate spots are not means-tested, they're offered on an honor system. If you would benefit from a reduction in cost, please indicate that on your application.

How do I sign up?

Does this intensive sound like the kick-start you need to turn your political values into action? Enrollment opens June 1st for the fall session. At that time, you’ll be able to fill out an application and schedule an intake call to make sure the program is a good fit for your needs.

In the meantime, sign up for updates and to get a reminder when enrollment opens!
